Class of 2019 will be inducted before the 2020 season!
Hall of Fame Process
During each offseason the Council, with suggestions from the rest of the league’s owners, will put together a list of six Hall of Fame nominees. The list can contain previous nominees who weren’t inducted and, unlike the ProFootball Hall of Fame, there is no minimum number of years that the individual must have been retired for.
The 12 league owners will then have the opportunity to endorse between one and three of the six on the list for Hall of Fame inclusion, numbering each of their selections with a priority from 1, 2 and 3.
The individual with the most selections will be inducted. The individual with the second most selections will be inducted if more than 75% of the voters backed him. The individual with the third most selections will be inducted if more than 80% of the voters backed him. In this way, between 1 and 3 individuals will be inducted each year.
In case of ties between individuals that need breaking, criteria will be applied in the following order until there is separation:
